Lunartics Limited Edition Giclée prints
Here is a fantastic opportunity to own some exclusive Lunartics art ☺
All 147 Lunartic characters are available as limited edition prints, and they are designated as common, uncommon, rare and super-rare in order to tie in with our Lunartics trading cards game - which is currently in development.
First of all, in case you’re not sure what a limited edition giclée print is…
The word “giclée” is derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt or spray". Giclée is now a commonly used fine art term to refer to high quality inkjet-based digital prints and can be very difficult to distinguish from the original artwork. Giclées are printed onto a natural white, 100% rag content 300gsm paper that has been tested to give a fade and colour-shift resistance of up to 75 years.
A “limited edition” means that only a specific number of prints of a particular image are made, and such prints tend to increase in value as an artist’s work becomes sought after or a brand becomes more widely known. So, for example, if you choose Pugdimple – who is a ‘super-rare’ character, you will be one of only 500 people in the world to own a copy of his squidgy self! And once all his prints have sold out, then that's it forever - they will never be reprinted or made available again!
Lunartic limited editions prints are approximately A4 in size and will be posted to you in a strong cardboard tube, together with a certificate of authenticity which details its name and number - extra proof of the special nature of the print… Each one is individually numbered and signed by the creator of the Lunartics, science fiction & fantasy artist Danny Flynn.
